Our Mission
Seventh Street exists for one purpose:
to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known.
We are passionate about helping people of
all ages encounter Jesus personally and live out His love in their daily lives. From Cullman to beyond,
we strive to share the name of Jesus, build authentic community, and equip each person to grow in faith, hope, and service.
Our Pastor
Bro. John Crocker
John began serving at Seventh Street in December 2024.
A native of Scottsboro, AL, he has over 35 years of pastoral ministry experience. He and his wife, Suzanne, have four children - Sarah Joy, Rebekah, Christopher, and Benjamin - as well as four grandchildren - Henry, Oliver, Lily, and Liam.
He gave his life to Christ in the summer of 1983 and accepted God's call to ministry in 1984, as a college freshman. Since then, he has served the Church in different capacities, including Senior Pastor of Grays Creek Baptist, Military Outreach at Bellevue Baptist, Missions Pastor at Whitesburg Baptist, and Mens/Missions Pastor at FBC Athens. He also served for 10 years in West Africa as an IMB Missionary.
He has a Bachelor's degree from Samford University, a Master's of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, and is a certified John Maxwell speaker, coach, and trainer.
His passion for ministry focuses on expository preaching, missions, evangelism, and shepherding God's people.
In addition to his ministry, John has written several songs published on the music streaming platforms and is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers and the Nashville Songwriters Association International.
Outside of ministry, John enjoys his songwriting, Alabama football, snow skiing, reading, and - most importantly - spending time with his family.
Our Beliefs
Our beliefs align with the Baptist Faith & Message (2000), which summarizes what we believe as a church.
